Avocado is tropic fruit everyone must try. Did you know that in Berlin (Germany) this food is so popular that there is even a restaurant which serves only dishes with avocado? Alligator pear, avocado is also known as due to its rough skin, is loaded in numerous vitamins and minerals. Avocado is one of the best sources of fiber among all fruit and veggies. It is rich in vitamin A, folic acid, vitamin C and E, calcium, iron and potassium. Although some people avoid avocado because it is calorie-packed food, we must stress that these calories come from healthy fats which keep us satiated for a long time. Therefore, go for avocado smoothie, an energy boosting breakfast or a midday meal you’ll conquer the world with (or at least feel like that).
Ingredients for avocado smoothie:
- 350 ml of apple juice
- 2 glasses of cleaned baby spinach
- 1 apple (leave the skin on!) cut in cubes
- ½ half of cleaned and diced avocado
Preparation:
Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend at the highest speed for a minute. If you think smoothie is too thick for you, add some water or even almond milk, whichever you prefer. Remember to buy organic apples otherwise remove the skin since most of the nutrients in fruit and vegetables is found under the skin.
