Autumn brings many fresh and healthy vegetables that you can prepare.
Cabbage is one of those vegetables. It is rich in fibers and vitamins. There are many ways to prepare cabbage but there is one recipe that even our grandmothers used to make when there was a lot of mouth to feed.
This meal is easy, doesn’t take too much time to prepare and it is not expensive.
- pasta (it would be the best to buy or even make a fresh pasta)
- chilly or ground paprika
Put a bit of oil in the pot and add onion. Cook in for a few minutes till the onion becomes yellow in color.
Than add cabbage that you’ve previously cut into stripes. Cook it until it becomes soft. If it starts to burn add a little water so that it does not stick to the surface of the pot.
While you’re cooking the cabbage, cook pasta in the usual way.
When pasta is cooked, put it in a pot with cabbage and stir it all well. If it seems necessary add a bit of the water in which pasta was cooked so that you get a bit more sauce from the vegetable.
If you like vegetable, you can also add carrot.
