If you search for a dessert that will knock your socks off, light and delicious pear mousse is exactly what you’re looking for. Pear is an excellent source of soluble fiber but also vitamin A, B1, B2, C and E, folic acid and niacin. As you may know, fiber rich foods improve digestion and give an extended feeling of fullness while folic acid is very important element during pregnancy, especially in the first three months. When it comes to minerals, copper, potassium and phosphorus are worth mentioning in addition to calcium, iron, magnesium, natrium and sulphur. Also, pears provide u with anti inflammatory benefits, all which gives us even more reasons to enjoy this excellent dessert.
Ingredients for pear mousse:
– pears: 30 dag
– brown sugar: 10 dag
– butter: 12,5 dag
– egg yolk 9
– brown sugar: 12,5 dag
– vanilla sugar: 1 pack
– cream: 4 dl
Peel pears, remove all the seeds and slice it. Cook it and blend to turn into a puree. Whisk egg yolks with sugar until cream becomes thick and light. Mix in pear puree and cook to thicken the cream. Make sure egg yolks are not overcooked otherwise there could be some lumps left. When this is done, put the cream into a dish immersed in a cold water and stir well to get the cream to room temperature.
Mix butter so it becomes white and then add it little by little into the cream. Whip cream and mix in 2 – 3 tablespoons. Blend
all ingredients well but gently and you’re done.
Serve mouse in cups and decorate the way you like.
