It is a well-known fact, of course, that potato chips is not healthy. But there is a chips which
is equally delicious and – healthy and it is beet chips! It is interesting in both looks and taste.
Beat bad blood count with beet
Beet could truly be regarde as health bomb considering a number of vitamins and minerals it contains. Given that fact, it is no wonder it has anti-cancer properties too. Betacyanin, a pigment thanks to which beets are endowed with beautiful burgundy color, also enables a better transport of oxygen in the body. Apart from betacyanin, beets are rich in vitamin C, Beta-carotene, folic acid and iron.
You can prepare chips from other types of vegetable or fruit as well, one of them being kale or better known one, apple chips.
Peel beets and cut it to fine, thin slices. Season it with herbs of your choice and a small amount of olive oil. Distribute veggies on a baking pan where you’ve previously placed a parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven to 150ºC for about 40 do 50 minutes.
