Pumpkin is a vegetable known for this time of year. It can be used for making all kinds of dishes including cakes.

How to prepare it:
Cut the pumpkin in half and place it on to a baking platter.
Bake it for 30 do 45 minutes on 200ºC.
When the pumpkin is soft and gets a nice caramelised colour, take it out of the oven.
Peel the meat od the pumpkin and put it in a bowl.
Add salt, pepper and a bit of butter. If you like, add other vegetables such as potato, broccoli..that you’ve previously cooked.
Mix and mash all together.
Pumpkin puree could be served with roasting or alone.
If you have a baby, pumpkin puree will be a real delicacy for them. Of course, avoid salt and pepper in that case.
