East, especially China and Japan, offer numerous techniques which the western world has begun to take seriously as of quite recently. Face mapping is one of the oldest ways which tells us a lot about our health. The skin is our biggest organ and according to this technique, if we have some skin problems, it’s more likely some of our inner organs are not doing very well, so to speak. The causes are numerous – poor diet, stress, hormonal imbalance or some else.
Face mapping can be done easily with the help of just a few things – mirror, clean face and time, of course. Put your hair away from your face and study it . Which part of your face is mostly affected by acne, rash or discoloration? Look carefully at these zones since face mapping is all about these zones and find out what each of them indicates.
Face mapping – zones
Forehead – Forehead is associated with the bladder and intestinal problems. Poor diet, stress, alcohol and the lack of sleep can all lead to changes on the forehead. Eat raw, seasonal food. Whole grains and probiotics could also help solve this problem. Drink more water and avoid alcohol, and finally, get some sleep!
Between the eyebrows – Changes between the eyebrows indicate certain liver problems. Too much of alcohol, high-fat food, even dairies can be the cause. Cut down the intake of dairies and meat and increase the intake of vegetables and fruit.
Ears – ears are associated with the kidneys. If your ears are red and hot for no obvious reason, you might be dehydrated.
Cheeks – Cheeks include the upper part, i.e. the cheekbones and the lower part up to the jaw. The upper cheek is related to the lungs. Smoking, asthma or pollution can cause changes in this zone. Avoid bad habits, walk in fresh, clean air. Drink green juice and add some ginger.
The lower part of cheeks is also related to the lungs and kidneys. If you’re smoking, this is a sign to stop. Besides, acne in this particular area is a sign of great stress. Start practicing yoga, meditation or something else that you enjoy in and relaxes you. Bring in more fluid.
Eyes – Dark circles around the eyes are a sign of dehydration. Introduce more fluid.
Nose – Red nose can mean you have high blood pressure or poor circulation. Be more physically active and cut down on salt and fat intake. Drink green tea to cleanse toxins from your body.
Jaw – If you have dental problems, you can notice acne in this area all the way to the ears. For women, these changes may indicate hormonal imbalance and are most likely to occur before and after the menstruation. Avoid meat, milk, and dairies and drink more herbal teas instead.
Chin and lips – Pimples in this area can also suggest problems with hormonal imbalance. Apart from that, it is a sign that your diet contains too much sugar, caffeine, and alcohol. The area around lips can be irritated if you use creams or lipsticks which make your skin dry and contain aggressive ingredients.
Neck – Changes on the neck may be a sign of stress, hormonal imbalance and poor diet. Give up on meat and dairies for a couple of days. Drink green tea. Relax by doing what you like. Don’t forget to apply a moisturizer with SPF on the neck too.
In case certain areas of your face are affected by a skin condition like acne, then this method can help you figure out (at least) the root of your problem. Surely, it would be good to seek professional‘s help to find out exactly what is this all about. If you wake up in the morning with a pimple or some other awkward change on your face, try to think what might have caused it the day earlier. And by any chance, don’t ignore the signs your body sends you.
