You are determined to get rid of those dark circles under eyes, which bother you pretty much every morning? You’ve tried everything, but with no results. Yet, there are ways to get rid of them and we’ve made a research on several of them recommended by makeup artists.
What causes dark circles under eyes?
Swollen and dark area under the eyes appear mostly as a result of a series of degenerative processes taking place in the body. As we age, our skin around the eyes becomes thinner due to the loss of collagen which is why dark circles under our eyes become more visible than when we were younger.
Fast solution for dark circles and swollen eyelids
An old traditional trick includes a chamomile tea bag. Make yourself a nice calming chamomile tea and then use chamomile tea bags for your eyes. Put them on for 10 minutes and you’ll see its magic. However, given the season rich in skin friendly fruits and veggies, you can also use a fresh cucumber. Slice a cucumber and apply one slice onto each eye. Cold fresh cucumber is even better idea because it’ll constrict the blood vessels and dark circles will disappear along with swollen eyes.
Can eye creams help?
An instant solution to this problem may be an eye cream. However, this is a case when money shouldn’t be saved. Look closely at the ingredient list and buy only top-quality products. Remember that caffeine constricts blood vessels and improves circulation while hyaluronic acid ensures that the area around eyes is well hydrated. Retinoic acid is very effective for camouflaging awkward dark bags under eyes.
How to apply eye cream properly?
Use circular motions to apply eye cream properly starting from the inner corner and moving to the outer corner. And one more tip is gold worthy – keep your eye cream in the fridge in order to achieve an even better effect and have your eyes free of heavy eyelids and/or dark circles under them.
