What is a chemical peel?
Chemical peel is a treatment used for removing damaged top layers of the skin. It is based on usid acids and it is known that people used it in the ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt. It can be done on your face, hands and neck.
Who is a good candidate?
- fine lines
- sun damage
- some type of acne
- discolorations and spots
The very best candidates for chemical peel are the ones with fair light skin and light hair colour. If you have darker skin you could benefit from chemical peel depending on the problem that is being treated.
If you have deep lines and skin that lost its elasticity than chemical peel won’t help you.
What to expect?
During the treatment it is possible to feel burning from the acids.
After the peel it is important to cover the area for a few days.
Few days after the peel your skin will look like you’ve had very bad sunburn and the treated area will flake.
Avoid sun and wear high spf.
