For nourished and delightful lips the first thing you should do is to make a proper peeling. Use a toothbrush to scrub the dead skin off the lips and stimulate circulation. You can also make your own peeling with sugar, honey, lemon juice and olive oil. Use circular movements to gently massage this mixture onto your lips and leave it on for approximately 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Apply lip balm afterwards. This method will give you instant results leaving your lips softer and shinier. Then you can start making your own perfect lip gloss with a help of these few easy recipes.
Natural homemade lip glosses
Recipe No. 1
Mix one half teaspoon of honey with the same amount of beet juice if you head for the red color, cocoa if you prefer the earthy shades or turmeric for orange. In just a few minutes you can get your own lip gloss which you may also enrich with a pinch of sequins to look more distinguished.
Recipe No. 2
Take a beet, slice it and heat it in the oven for some 40 seconds. Take a dish where you’ll put beet juice mixed with a couple of drops of olive oil and keep adding powder sugar until you get the consistency you strive for. Use brush to apply this lip gloss.
Recipe No. 3
Mix 1 teaspoon of almond oil with some 10 cranberries and 1 teaspoon of honey. Heat the mixture for about 5 minutes stirring the whole time. Remove just before it starts to boil so when the mixture gets mushy, move away from the heat. Pour this into a dish and leave it to cool down. And that’s it, you have your own lip gloss ready for use.
Natural lip balm
Take a ceramic bowl and put it into another container with hot water. Put 4 teaspoons of shea butter and the same amount of avocado oil (it serves us as the base oil) in the ceramic bowl and wait for the butter to melt. Stir quickly until the mixture cools down. Then add 3 drops of essential oil of your choice and keep stirring for a while. Leave it to cool down completely until it becomes thick enough so you can use your own custom lip balm.
