In many aspects, hair is an indicator of our general health with hair loss being the most evident problem which is usually misread as esthetic. Lifeless, dry and fragile hair can indicate some other problems like deficiency of certain nutrients or some other health issue. Basically speaking, the health of hair depends on the overall health. For this reason, some health factors should be stressed in particular. Proteins make up around 90% of all our hair. Weak and thin hair can be the consequence of poorly balanced diet, low in proteins especially. Furthermore, vitamin C and E improve circulation around the hair root. Additionally, B complex vitamins, beta-carotene and vitamin D are equally important. Of course, to have healthy and strong hair you need to eat well, and that is something you won’t see any hair commercial advertising. Do not get carried away by thinking that some expensive products will do wonders with your hair, especially if your hair yearns for the “vitamins from the inside”. Therefore, deal with the inside problem first and then go see what you can “dress up” more on the outside.
For proper care you don’t need to spend too much money on fancy masks or regenerators, simply use those ingredients that you already have at home and make you own natural hair mask.
